Describe what you’ve noticed

Useful details include where you hear activity, when you first noticed it, and whether you’ve seen a rodent, droppings, or chewed materials. A noise alone doesn’t identify the animal. Tell the provider if the activity is in an attic, crawl space, garage, kitchen, or another area.

What to ask about an inspection

• Which accessible areas will be inspected, and is there a separate inspection fee?
• How will the provider identify the animal and explain evidence of activity?
• Will potential entry points be assessed as part of the visit?
• Will you receive a written estimate before treatment or repairs begin?

Look at the whole plan

Ask the provider to explain the proposed treatment, visit schedule, and any access they need. Discuss children, pets, and other household circumstances before agreeing to a plan. Entry-point sealing, repair work, and cleanup may be separate services; don’t assume they’re included.

What does rat control cost?

The provider sets the price after discussing the problem and, where needed, inspecting the property. Ask what the quoted price covers, whether follow-ups cost extra, and whether there is any ongoing agreement. RodentHero does not set service prices or guarantee a particular result.
